NASW Metro-DC and NASWVA offer a range of marketing opportunities to deliver your information and expertise directly to thousands of social workers and healthcare professionals statewide in every specialty and career level. The Trauma Recertification Certificate requires participants to complete 14 hours of training every two years. Training can be obtained through NASW Virginia's sessions or other recognized providers, covering topics such as trauma impact, resolution methods, and culturally informed approaches. Submit your application and apply here!

To complete your Course Accreditation Program (CAP) application: 1. Go to the Forms Tab: Navigate to the forms section on the relevant website or portal. 2. Select Your Event Type: Choose the form that corresponds to your specific event type; conference, workshop, series, etc. 3. Fill out all the required fields with accurate and complete information. 4. Submit the form. Once you submit the form, you will be directed to add the purchase to your cart. 6. Finalize Your Purchase Order: Complete the payment process by entering payment details or confirming the order. The Qualified Supervisor Directory, is a voluntary listing of licensed clinical social workers who have completed 14 hours of supervision training sponsored by NASW-VA, NASW Metro-DC, or a 14-hour supervision certificate course approved by one of the seven providers authorized by the Virginia Board of Social Work regulation 18VAC140-20-105 (Section B.1.). This directory is available to licensure candidates seeking a qualified supervisor. Minimum qualifications include practicing for at least two years in good standing with the VA Board of Social Work (VBSW), current training certification through a VBSW-approved course, and meeting eligibility requirements mandated by the Virginia Board of Social Work. Members can access the entire directory online at any time through the Chapter’s “Members Only” section on our website, while non-members may purchase a copy. Adding your name to the NASW-VA, or NASW Metro-DC Qualified Supervisor Directory can supplement your income or allow you to give back and strengthen the profession by sharing your expertise with licensure candidates. NASW-VA members can be listed FREE, while non-members may subscribe for $48 annually.
